Kentucky Horse Park Proposal | Lexington Kentucky Engagement Photographer

On Friday afternoon, it was a gloomy day with rain in the forecast but that wasn't going to dampen the mood. Thursday afternoon I received an exciting phone call. Jason had just arrived in town and had decided after 3 yrs he would propose to his girlfriend. Here's the catch she had no clue and he wanted to surprise her. With a couple phone call to the Kentucky Horse Park and text messages to me to confirm all of the details, Jason was able to setup a time to propose with Go For Gin , Who is an American Thoroughbred Race Horse who lives at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. He in residence at the Hall of Champions with several other famous friends. Go for Gin known for his Triple Crown Win in the Kentucky Derby in 1994. We'll I'm sure by now your wondering what does a horse have to do with a sweet couple? Go for Gin is actually the father of Jason's soon to be bride horse! I love how he tied in her love for horses and something that meant so much to her. She's been around horses her whole, so this was a moment she will cherish. The rain kept coming but that didn't stop us at all. The plan was to pretend I was taking pictures of Go For Gin for Facebook promotion and Jason and his lucky lady Skylar were going to get a special treat of meeting Go For Gin up close and personal. Go For Gin was brought into the Hall of Champion ring and that rest is History. Skylar was so excited to meet Go For Gin she didn't see that Jason was down on one knee asking Skylar for is hand in marriage. It was a bitter sweet moment and I am so blessed to have been apart of their special day. I'm sure as you can see by the images this was a day that will never be forgotten!
